Cottonwood Barn

A purpose-built lakeside estate, raised from open land and opened in 2020.

Stockbridge holds Cottonwood Barn within The Gilchrist Collection. Where the other houses of the collection are inherited, this one was built, from open ground, to the same standard the house keeps everywhere.

The Estate

Ground was broken in October 2019 and the estate opened on the twentieth of June 2020. The barn, the balcony, the lake and the outdoor bar were built from open land, to a single design.

The Grounds

A six-acre lake sits at the centre of the estate, with a custom balcony overlooking the water, a dock and a lakeside ceremony space within the gardens.

Within

The Barn, beneath elegant chandeliers and behind a thirty-five-foot custom-built bar, holds the principal gatherings, with the Otis Room as a quiet retreat beside it.

Stockbridge holds Cottonwood Barn for the long term, an estate built rather than bought, and stewarded rather than realised.
